+ Soli Deo Gloria +

We remember our members who are celebrating birthdays this week—Angie Lichtle, Kent Stoppenhagen, Brandon Buuck, Dawn Buuck, Nathan Buuck, Kari Heckman, Trisha Hockemeyer, Lucas Strickler, Jill Blomenberg, and Cindy Wass.  May our loving Savior direct, bless, and guide their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need.   We remember in our prayers Dick Hormann, Al’s brother, who is recovering at home, Bill Fuhrman, Ed Aspy, Lyndsey Arnold and Bryan Miller.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “God’s Faithful People.”

The men’s softball team has two games this week.  They have a make-up game on Monday at 7 p.m. to play Decatur.  Then on Wednesday they will face Soest at 8:30 p.m. in Hoagland.

We extend our Christian sympathy to the family and friends of Bonita Lavon Bowen, mother of Ruby Werling and Ruth Hartmann, who was called to her heavenly home on Friday, July 1, and was given Christian burial this past Thursday.  We also remember the family and friends of Sarah Blomenberg, Ted’s sister, who went to be with her Savior on Friday, July 1, and was given Christian this past Friday.  May the God of all comfort be with those who mourn and remind them of that great day when they will be reunited with their loved ones in heaven.

We thank Carol Bittner for sharing her gift of music with us today (as well as last Sunday).   We appreciate her playing the organ for the services today.

Tune in to the Lutheran Hour next Sunday.  The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of Cincinnati at 7 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m. The program airs on Sunday at 8:05 a.m. on WZBD (92.7 FM) and then on WFCV (1090 AM) at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.   (With the time change, you may wish to double check broadcast times.)

Have you ever tuned in to “Issues, Etc.” that airs LIVE on Sunday evenings from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on WLYV (1450 AM) in Fort Wayne and on a tape-delay basis on Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on WFCV (1090 AM) in Fort Wayne?

Stewardship Committee’s Food for Thought:  “The more you pour out, the more you find to pour.  The more of life’s treasures you keep to yourself, the less you have.  The more you share with others, the more you have yourself.  One of life’s great rules is this:  the more you give the more you get.  You give your life away and behold!  A richer life comes back to you.” – Danforth

There are no children’s bulletins this morning.  They haven’t yet arrived in the mail.

There will be a door collection this morning to benefit Lutheran Social Services.
