We remember our members who are celebrating birthdays this week—Wally Bultemeier, Lindsey Berning, P.J. DeKoninck, Kolton Everett, Jessica P. Linnemeier, Michael Blomenberg, Cassie Hudson, Andy Buuck, Ryan Hockemeyer, Scott Hormann, Christian Lehman, Megan Selking, and Candace Sielschott.  May our loving Savior direct, bless, and guide their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need.   We remember in our prayers Sara Horton who was discharged from the hospital and continues her recovery at home,  Dorothy Franke, Phil Franke’s mother, who is recovering at home, Lyndsey Arnold, and Bryan Miller.

We rejoice with Brian and Kathy (Jeffrey) Terhune on the birth of their daughter, Kennedy Brianna, on Wednesday, June 15.  We pray that the Good Shepherd will keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “The Price of Being a Christian.”

Congratulations to Tom and Marvene Buuck who will celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary tomorrow, June 20, and to Gary & Michelle Knipstein who will celebrate their 25th anniversary also on the 20th.  May our loving Savior continue to be at the center of their homes and bless them.

This morning we thank God for all those men who have willingly and lovingly, given of themselves as role models to our youth.  We pray the Lord's blessings on each of you especially today, Father's Day.

The men’s softball team has three games this week.  This afternoon they will face Soest at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday they play Union at 8:30 p.m., and on Friday, they face Bingen at 7:00 p.m.  All games are at Hoagland.

Reservations forms for “A Gem of a Night” are located in either entranceway of the church.  Please look over the information and plan on coming.  Forms are to be returned no later than Sunday, July 3.  Boxes have been placed in each entranceway for you to place your form.

The Gem of a Night Committee will meet this Monday, June 20, at 9:00 a.m. in the church basement to finalize some of the details for the 12th.

A Note from Our Treasurer:  We are currently behind in our May payment to Wyneken ($6,000).  Through your generous contributions to the Thrivent GivingPlus program, $4,925 has been received in matching funds and credited to Friedheim’s account at Wyneken.  In addition, $10,000 was transferred earlier this spring from our Wyneken account held here at Friedheim.  At the end of June, we need to be current with our Wyneken obligations.  Please prayerfully consider this situation.

It’s Lutheran Night at the Wizards on Friday, July 15, at 7 p.m. as presented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.  A portion of each ticket purchased ($1) will be donated to Lutheran Social Services.  Order forms are available in each entrance way and need to be returned prior to July 8.  Orders received before June 24 will be entered into the Early Bird Drawing for the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, receive $50 in “magic money,” an autographed bat, and much more.  Tickets cost $6.

Attendance:  Sunday Worship Service – 236; Monday Night Bible Class - 3; Early-bird Bible Class - 15
