+ Soli Deo Gloria +

We remember our members who are celebrating birthdays this week—Nathan Bultemeier, Anna Franke, Julie Lehman, Matt Knipstein, Ramona Black, Derek Schultz, Ruby Werling, Mitzi Gardner, Loren Hartmann, Krista Roseberry, and Tami Schultz.   We also remember in our prayers one of our 8th grade teachers and our technology coordinator, Marv Drier, our entire Sunday School staff as today completes the 2004-2005 school year, and Gretchen Hudson.  May our loving Savior direct, bless, and guide their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need.   We remember in our prayers Dorothy Werling who is recuperating at home, Thomas Bills who is now at home with mom and dad, Don Erxleben, Ed Aspy who is in the hospital, and Bryan Miller.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “Obedience to God’s Word.”

Stewardship Committee’s Food for Thought:  As we abide in Jesus, we become more like Him.  As Jesus lived a giving lifestyle, we, through the working of the Holy Spirit, also live a similar lifestyle.  Through our giving, we worship Him, express our thanks to Him, and renew our commitment to Him.  When we give, we put our love for Jesus into action.  God’s grace through faith, enables us to give as we have received.

Our LYF will be serving Nelson’s port-a-pit chicken today from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  You can pick your chicken up in the church basement or at the Meyer’s station across from Bingen.  There are some extras.  The proceeds will be used to help fund the youth’s white-water rafting trip this July.
