We remember our members who are celebrating birthdays this week— Lydia Dahling, Drew Stoppenhagen, Jared Witte, Eldina Boese (her 95th!), Betty Sielschott, Josh Stoppenhagen, and Kim Stoppenhagen.   We also remember in our prayers our Wyneken School Board, especially those members from Friedheim, Mike Conrad, Randy Everett, and Kent Stoppenhagen, Stephen Zehnder, one of our Sunday School teachers, and Lisa Bills who is a substitute teacher.  May our loving Savior direct, bless, and guide their lives.

We rejoice with Chris and Lisa (Erxleben) Bills on the birth of a son, Thomas Cyril, at Dupont Hospital on Tuesday, April 19.  May the Good Shepherd keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need.   We remember in our prayers Bernice Caston who was a patient at Dupont Hospital this past week, Eldora Scheumann (home), Irene Bultemeier (home), Maxine Baumann, Sam’s mother, who is a patient at Adams County Hospital, Keith Bock, Sara Horton, and Bryan Miller.

The flowers on the altar are to the glory of God and in honor of Richard Scheumann’s 85th birthday on April 4.  The flowers were placed in church, with much love and admiration, by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  May the Lord continue to bless him.

Flowers have also been placed in church in honor of the Confirmation Class of 2005.  May our Savior bless Anna, Mike, Chris, James, Andrea, and Kevin as they continue to grow in the Lord.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “The Spirit in the Christian’s Life.”

Stewardship Committee’s Food for Thought:  LC-MS Stewardship Principle #8:  God’s Stewards live with an awareness of the present and future, of time and eternity.  What does this mean?  God’s stewards live intentionally in the light of God’s eternal purpose while being firmly committed to His rule in the here and now.  Consider this verse:  “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘write:  Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on…they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’” – Revelation 14:13

Have you ever tuned in to “Issues, Etc.” that airs LIVE on Sunday evenings from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on WLYV (1450 AM) in Fort Wayne and on a tape-delay basis on Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on WFCV (1090 AM) in Fort Wayne?
