 Statement of Communion Practice

In Holy Communion, Christ deals with you personally.  He comes to you with the very Body and Blood with which He purchased your forgiveness.  As this gift is personally received, those communing together also give public witness that they are one in doctrine.  In joyful obedience to the teaching of Scripture, we therefore practice closed communion, and we ask guests desiring to commune, to speak with the pastor before the service.

We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week –Don Bultemeier, Jarvis Cale, Sam Conrad, Brian Erxleben, Shawn Kiess, Alex Lichtle, Dawn Stoppenhagen, Angie Lichtle and Kent Stoppenhagen.   May our loving Savior continue to direct, bless, and guide their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives; please keep Larkanne Griffiths, and Tom Dafforn, Hollie Hormann’s father, in your prayers.

We rejoice with Jason and Jill Scheumann on the birth of their first child, Elizabeth Grace, on Saturday, June 29th.  We pray that the Good Shepherd will keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “The Proclaimed Word of God”.
