“Reward for the Righteous”
Matthew 10:41-42

1.      The reward of a good conscience.
2.      The reward of the joy of service.
3.      The reward of satisfaction for a job well done.
4.      The reward of knowing we do God’s will.

The Acolyte Laura Knipstein

We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week –Larry Hitzfield, Payton Lengerich, James Fuhrmann, Linda Conrad, Meri Everett, Travis Hockemeyer, and Mark Jackson.  May our loving Savior continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life.  We especially remember Bill Fuhrman who has returned home, Harvey Caston who is a resident at Woodcrest, Larkanne Griffiths, and Tom Dafforn, Hollie Hormann’s father, in our prayers.

We remember the family and friends of Larry Fuhrmann, Paul Fuhrmann’s son, who was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 26.  Services will be held at Friedheim this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with burial at Decatur Cemetery.  We also remember the family and friends of Virginia Roy, Lin Gorman’s mother, who was called to her heavenly home on Friday, June 28, and will be given Christian burial this week.  We pray that the Lord’s comforting arm be with these families as they mourn and remind them of that great day when they will be reunited with their loved ones in heaven.

We pray the Lord’s blessings upon Hunter Austin Wilkinson, son of Jim & Heidi (Knipstein) Wilkinson, who is reaffirming his baptismal vows this morning.  Serving as godparents are Darrin & Renee Brueggemann and Michelle Apt.

We rejoice with Erik & Emily (Burman) Blomenberg on the birth of their first child, a son, Michael Frederick, on Friday, June 21.  We pray that the Good Shepherd keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

The flowers on the altar are to the glory of God and in celebration of the marriage of Beth Fuhrman and Donald Kitson, Jr. who were married at the Lord’s altar yesterday afternoon.  May the Lord bless this couple.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “Peace for the World.”
