We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week - Tom Buuck, Dick Miller, Lowell Timm, Duane Kiess, Tyler Armao, George Geyer, and Jan Linnemeier.   We also remember our Wyneken cooks, Angie Werling, Sharon Brenneke, and Marcia Selking, and our custodian, Kim Ehlerding, Lisa Lee, one of our Sunday School teachers, and Toney Bergman who teaches at Northwest. May the Lord continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life. We especially remember Hunter Wilkinson who is in the neonatal intensive care unit at Lutheran, Toney Bergman, Megan Schamerloh who will undergo knee surgery tomorrow, Virginia Roy, mother of Lin Gorman, and Tom Dafforn, Hollie Hormann's father, in our prayers.

We rejoice with Jim and Heidi (Knipstein) Wilkinson on the birth of their son, Hunter Austin, on Saturday, April 6. We pray that the Good Shepherd will keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs and guide the medical staff that attends to him.

We extend our Christian sympathy to Tim Daub, our fieldworker, whose grandmother was called to her heavenly home this past week.  May the God of all comfort be with those who mourn and remind them of that great day when they will be reunited.

Included in this morning's bulletin is our weekly study guide, "Time in the Word." This week's theme is "The Sheep and the Good Shepherd."

Tune in to the Lutheran Hour next Sunday. The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of Cincinnati at 7 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m. (Remember the time change may affect the times you can hear these programs). The April Quarterly Voters' Meeting will be held following the worship service this morning. Plan on staying for this important meeting of our congregation. One item to be discussed is Cornfusion IV. At this moment no one has volunteered to chair this fundraiser or be the host farm. If you would be willing to do either, please contact John Nidlinger or Dennis Werling this morning.

There will be a "Helping Hands" dinner for Larkanne (Bultemeyer) Griffiths at Wyneken on Sunday, April 28. Serving will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. On the menu is pork from Manley's and chicken from Gerbers' and Richards'. A free will donation will be accepted.

If you have volunteered to help with the "Helping Hands" dinner for Larkanne, please come to a short meeting that will be held following the worship service this morning (before the Quarterly meeting).  Meet in the back of the church. Thanks!

The LWML/LLL Spring Rally will be held next Sunday at 3 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Berne. The guest speaker will be Andrew Younan, a freshman from Valparaiso whose father is a Lutheran pastor, lives in the West Bank, and serves as bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Palestine and Jordan. A free will offering will be taken for the light supper that will be served. All are invited to attend.

Dear fellow members of Friedheim,

A simple thank you doesn’t seem enough for all the prayers, cards, words of encouragement and support, and expressions of sympathy that we received from our church family during dad's hospitalization and following his passing. A very special thank you to Pastor Dahling for his support during these difficult days. His prayers and hospital visitations meant so much to all members of our family. We truly appreciated all acts of kindness shown to us. May the Lord bless each of you.

Ryan & Jessica Linnemeier
The Kent Krueckeberg family

The LYF will like to say a special thank you to Kent & Monica Stoppenhagen and Stoppenhagen Eggs for all the support they have given to the LYF in the past. They have donated the eggs for the Easter breakfast for years as well as loaning their truck for the annual paper drive. Your thoughtfulness and support are truly appreciated and the kids say "THANKS!"
