+ SOLI  DEO GLORIA +

In the early church, the celebration of the Lord's Supper was viewed as a continuation of the RESURRECTION appearances  of the  Risen  Savior.   It was viewed much the same as Jesus saying to Thomas,  "Put your finger here; see My hands.    Stop  doubting  and  believe" (John 20:27).  As Jesus promised, we believe that He is really present in this Sacrament with His very body and His very blood for our forgiveness.   We also believe that oneness in doctrine is Biblically affirmed for those who receive the Sacrament together.  We therefore ask guests desiring to commune to kindly speak with the pastor before the service.

We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week - Nick George, Leesa Heckman, Joy Erxleben, Ten Conrad, Brittany Franke, Meghann Manley, Deb Miller, and Vanessa Robinson. We also remember Cindy Roy, our Resource Room teacher, Jean Timm, one of our Sunday School teachers, and Judy Baumann who teaches at Monmouth.  May the Lord continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life. We especially remember Clarence Bultemeier and Tanner Walker who were patients at Adams County Memorial Hospital this past week, Toney Bergman who is scheduled to have surgery this week, Virginia Roy, mother of Lin German, and Tom Daffom, Hollie Hormann's father, in our prayers.

We also remember Sara Nelson and Chris Rhymer who were married before the Lord's altar yesterday. We pray that the Lord will always be at the heart of their home as they begin their lives together.

We remember in our prayers the family and friends of Loma (Buuck) Schueler from Rhea, Texas who was called to her heavenly home this past week and was given Christian burial. May the God of all comfort be with the Buuck/Keuneke/Fuhrmann families as they grieve, reminding them of that glorious reunion in heaven.

We thank Anna Buuck for sharing her gift of song with us this morning. May the Lord continue to bless her.

Included in this morning's bulletin is our weekly study guide, "Time in the Word." This week's theme is "The Resurrection According to God's Plan."

The April Quarterly Voters' Meeting will be held following the worship service next Sunday, April 14. Plan on staying for this important meeting of our congregation. One item to be discussed is Comfusion IV. At this moment no one has volunteered to chair this fundraiser or be the host farm. If you would be willing to do either, please contact John Nidlinger or Dennis Werling by next Sunday.

Another item on the agenda is the proposed parking lot. One item being discussed is putting in a new drive to this lot. A preliminary sketch is included in this morning's bulletin. Please take a moment to look this over and voice your opinion at next week's meeting.

Soon it will be time to mow. The Trustees would like to remind members if they have placed an arrangement on the cemetery that could make mowing difficult, please remove it as soon as possible.  Thanks!

Presently there are six congregations in the Indiana District anticipating a building project and looking to LCEF for assistance.  These congregations are experiencing continued growth or in need of major renovations or expansion which will enable the congregations to increase this ministry. Your investments are making a difference.  For more information about LCEF, call the Indiana District LCEF offices (1 -800-83 7-1145, extension 210). This does not constitute offer to buy or a request to sell. The offering is made solely through LCEF's Offering Circular.

Wyneken Sports

Congratulations to our Wyneken wrestlers who finished 4th in the team standings at the Holy Cross Senior tournament on March 23.  Our Friedheim athletes placed as follows: Firsts: Jon Kiefer and Ben Moeller; Third: Jacob Lee; Fourth: Jordan Buuck; Fifth: Jon Buuck. Jon & Ben are in an elite group. Only 13 Wyneken wrestlers have won the league title since 1988. Great job!! A big thank you also to the coaches—Pastor Dahling, Rich Schwantz, Keith Dickey, as well as high school wrestlers from Bellmont and Heritage who came in to help—who donated their time and talent to help our young athletes.

The girls open their soccer season with a game against and at Suburban Bethlehem on Friday, April 12, at 4:15 p.m.
