The Acolyte

Jonathan Buuck

We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week—Sheila Putteet, Davon Bultemeier, Waldo Conrad, Kris Blomenberg, Lori Caston, Dennis Schuller, Alyssa Foreman, Spencer Scheumann, and Jacob Lee.  We also remember Yvonne Schwantz, one of our 8th grade teachers, Teri Conrad, one of our Sunday School teachers, and Judy Baumann who teaches in the public sector.  May the Lord continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

The flowers on the altar are to the glory of God and in honor of Ben & Norma Miller who are celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary today.  The flowers were placed in church, with love and admiration, by their children and grandchildren. We pray God’s richest blessings upon them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life.  We especially remember George Geyer and Virginia Roy, Lin Gorman’s mother, who both have returned home following hospitalizations and Marceil Stoll, Dawn Buuck’s aunt, who remains at Caylor-Nickel.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  This week’s theme is “The Gift of the Spirit.”

Tune in to the Lutheran Hour next Sunday.  The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of Cincinnati at 7:00 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m.  The program airs Sunday at 8:05 a.m. on WZBD (92.7 FM) and again at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on WFCV (1090 AM).

Dear Members of Zion, Friedheim,

Thank you so much for your generous gifts at Christmas time.  We will certainly put all of them to good use.  Our family treasures the few services that we are able to share with you now that Bob has begun his vicarage.  Thank you for continuing to allow us to be a part of the Friedheim family.  You are a true blessing to each of us!  Blessings in 2002!

Love, Bob, Ruth, Chelsae, & Tyler Armao
