The Acolyte Emily Conrad

We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week—Emily Miller, Janice R. Buuck, Pastor Dahling, David Buuck, and Brett Gallmeyer. We also remember our Wyneken principal, Lowell Timm, as well as Stan Stoppenhagen, one of our Sunday School teachers, and Jean Timm who teaches at Unity. May the Lord continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

We remember Joe & Lin German who will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary this Tuesday, January 1. May the Loving Savior continue to be the center of their home. We pray God's richest blessings upon them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life. We especially remember George Geyer, who is in extended care at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Virginia Roy, Lin German's mother, who is a patient at Parkview, Marceil Stoll, Dawn Buuck's aunt, who underwent surgery this past week, and Larkanne Griffiths, niece of Rosie Bultemeier, Jerry & Jim Bultemeyer.

Included in this morning's bulletin is our weekly study guide, "Time in the Word." This week's theme is "Christ is for All People."

Happy New Year

The new year's chief value to us is its spiritual opportunity. A year from now we may be richer or poorer than we are today, stronger or weaker, more famous or more obscure. But these factors will not determine the real value of the year. If the year makes us more patient and courageous, conscious of a deeper fellowship with the Spirit of Christ, it will have brought us the richest rewards it can bring. Whatever else the new year may mean to us, it surely means the opportunity for spiritual enrichment. If we approach the new year prayerfully and purposefully. God will redeem our days and bring us

into a closer relationship with him.    -—    George E. Horr
