We remember our members who will celebrate birthdays this week—Ruth  Heckman, Shirley Hormann, Julie Heckman, Zach Stoppenhagen, Sean Bultemeier, Alma Kcidel, Veronica Moellering, and Tia Lee. We also remember our Wyneken Resource Teacher, Cindy Roy, as well as Sharon Franke, our Assistant Sunday School superintendent, and Deb Miller who teaches at Concordia Elementary. May the Lord continue to direct, bless, and guide them.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life. We especially remember Joann Sullivan who is a patient at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Charles Ducrk, Christine Bultemeier's father, who is a patient at Lutheran Hospital, Marceil Sloll, Dawn Buuck's aunt, who underwent surgery and is now in rehab at Caylor-Nickel, and Ruth Eggers, sister of Shirley Hormann and Jim Fuhrman, who underwent surgery this past week.

We welcome into church membership today, through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Mrs. Linda K. McAllister and her children. Chase Drew and Shadoe Desiree. Serving as sponsors for the children are Rich & Kim Weiland. We pray that the Lord will bless them in their new church home.

Emily/Inn Bergman, daughter of Toney & Deb (Kiess) Bergman also will receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism this afternoon. Servings as sponsors are Sara Des Jean and Kylene Nidlinger. We pray that the Good Shepherd will richly bless this most precious of His lambs.

We rejoice with Roger and Julie (Reed) Buuck on the birth of their son, Zane Alien, on Tuesday, December 11. We pray that the Good Shepherd will keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

Included in this morning's bulletin is our weekly study guide, "Time in the Word." This week's theme is "The Dual Nature of Jesus."

Our midweek Advent services continues this Wednesday (7:30 p.m.).  Pastor Dahling's sermon will be "Farewell to Fear."

Tune in to the Lutheran Hour next Sunday. The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of Cincinnati at 7:00 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m. The program airs Sunday at 8:05 a.m. on WZBD (92.7 FM) and again at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on WFCV (1090 AM).

Christmas Eve program practice continues today. All Sunday School students will remain in church for practice including the students in Bonnie Buuck/Lisa Erxleben's class.  However, the kindergarten/nursery class will then go to the Parish Hall for their lesson and parents will need to pick them up at the Parish Hall.

The LWML Thursday morning Bible class will not meet during the month of December. They will resume meeting on January 10 at the home of Doris Conrad.

Dear Members of Friedheim,

Until you are in a challenging situation, you sometimes don;t realize how important the support of family and friends can be.  Thank you so much/or the prayers, cards, and well wishes following my illness and treatment. You can't imagine how much your care and Christian concern meant to my family and me. God bless each of you. You were (and still are) truly a Godsend.
