The Acolyte Tyler Armao

We remember those members who will celebrate birthdays this week – Bailey Kaehr, Marvin Drier, Stan Stoppenhagen, Loren Gallmeyer, Al Hormann, Walter Nuerge, Phil Franke, Kevin Linnemeier, and Rachel Smithley.  We remember our principals, Dean Wass and Rich Schwantz, as well as Monica Stoppenhagen, one of our Sunday School teachers.  We also remember Sandy Blomenberg who teaches at St. Peter-Immanuel.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their life.  We especially remember Jared Witte, while improving, remains in the neonatal intensive care unit at Lutheran Hospital and Charlotte Conrad, Becky DeKoninck’s mother, who is a patient at Adams County Memorial Hospital.

Congratulations to Gerhard & Hildegard Kiefer who will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary tomorrow.  May the Lord continue to bless this couple.

We thank Lydia Dahling for her gift of song this morning.  May the Lord continue to bless her.

Included in this morning’s bulletin is our weekly study guide, “Time in the Word.”  Please take a few minutes to look over this material.  This week’s theme is “The Peace of God.”

Tune in to the Lutheran Hour next Sunday.  The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of Cincinnati at 7:00 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m. (Ohio times).  The program airs Sunday at 8:05 a.m. on WZBD (92.7 FM) and again at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on 1090 AM.

We thank the Sunday School students for the gift of a carnation this morning.  Each lady of the congregation was presented with a flower this morning.  Whether a mom, grandmother, aunt, or a special lady in someone’s life, you are appreciated for all you do.

The LWML is having an ingathering for Lutheran Disability Ministries.  There are collection boxes in either entrance way.  A list of needed items can be found on either bulletin board in the entranceway of the church.

The men’s softball season begins this week.  In preparation, there will be a practice tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Hoagland.  The season begins on Monday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m.  Fuelling will be the first opponent.  On Wednesday, May 16, they will face Bingen again at 7:00 p.m.  Both games are at Hoagland.  Questions?  Contact Steve Conrad or Kevin Buuck.

The LYF will have a brief meeting following the worship service this morning.

Thanks to everyone who came to our Open House in honor of our 50th wedding anniversary.  It made a special day for us. ----
