Deo Gloria +
We welcome you to the celebration service of Zion Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Friedheim, as today we celebrate the anniversary of the signing
of our congregation's charter--exactly one hundred sixty-three years to
the date. In wonder,
amazement, and awe, we remember the many blessings which our Savior has
showered down upon us these many years.
As we recall the manifold blessings which have come our way, may we continue in faith, hope, and
love to proclaim the changeless Christ to a changing world. May it please our Lord and Savior that Friedheim would always
remain what her name implies; that we would find a haven and house of
peace and a harbor of hope for hurting souls.
As we move into the new century, may we mirror the first century
church of being one in unity of doctrine, in fellowship, in sacraments,
and prayer (Acts 2:38).
Lord's blessings to one and all.
May the Great Physician grant health
and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives.
We especially remember Alma Boenker, mother of Shirley Buuck,
who is in extended care at Adams County Memorial Hospital.
We extend our Christian sympathy to the
family and friends of Fred Keuneke, who was called to his heavenly home,
this past Wednesday. The
funeral service will be here at Zion, Friedheim this afternoon at
3:00p.m. May the God of all comfort be with those who mourn his
We remember our members celebrating
birthdays this week -- Joey Gorman, Gary Knipstein, Benjamin Moeller,
Gunnar Cale, Justin Jackson and Jacob Stoppenhagen.
We also remember one of our 5th grade teachers, Heidi Werling, as
well as, Deborah Miller, who teaches at Concordia Elementary
School, and also, Monica Stoppenhagen, one of our Sunday School
teachers, in our prayers. May
the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.
We welcome, Christopher
Daniel Schuller, son of Daniel and Amy
(Foreman) Schuller, as a member of Friedheim, this past Monday
through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.
May the Good Shepherd keep an ever-watchful eye on this most
precious of His lambs.
