We welcome Victoria Rose Johnson, daughter of Walter and Sherri (Buuck) Johnson, as a member of Friedheim this morning through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.  Serving as godparents are Kevin and Donna Conrad and Roger and Julie Buuck.  May the Good Shepherd keep an ever-watchful eye on this most precious of His lambs.

We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- Lisa Erxleben, Sharon Franke, Shelly Kiefer, Sherril Bradtmueller, Clarence Bultemeier, Paul Drier, Dan Schuller, Gabrielle Cale, Kathy Bultemeier and Ken Fuhrmann.   We also remember our 1/2nd split grade teacher, Becke Klenke, as well as Judy Baumann who teaches in the public school in our prayers.  Today we also remember one of our Sunday School teachers, Bonnie Buuck.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We rejoice with Shelby Bultemeier and Amy Litchfield who will be married this Saturday, November 25, at University Lutheran Church in West Lafayette, Indiana.  May the Lord bless them as they begin their lives together.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives.

Make plans on attending one of our Thanksgiving services.  On Thanksgiving Eve, our service begins at 7:30 p.m. and on Thanksgiving Day our service begins at 9:00 a.m.

Included in this morning's bulletin is a study guide ("Time in the Word") for this week.  Please take a few moments each day to go over this information.  The theme for this week is "Christ the King."

Listen to The Lutheran Hour.  The show airs on Sunday on WLW (700) out of  Cincinnati at 7:00 a.m. and on Van Wert stations WERT (1220) and WKSD (99.7 FM) at 10:30 a.m.  The program can also be heard on Sunday at 8:05 a.m. on WBZD (92.7 FM) and at  3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on WFCV (1090).

Ladies, make plans to come to attend this year's Advent By Candlelight.  It will be held on Monday, December 4, with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and serving beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Hostesses will again be needed.  If you wish to volunteer to serve as a hostess, please return your registration form today.  All other reservations are due by November 27.  There are extra registration forms in either entrance way of the church.

There are extra nuts and candy available.  You can see Mary Gallmeyer or Becky DeKoninck in the back of church following the worship service this morning.

There are still some cookbooks left.  If you wish to purchase any for holiday giving, you may wish to do so soon.  The Helpful Hints Almanac is also available.  Cookbooks are $8 while the Almanac is $4.  Questions?  Please contact one of the committee members (Becky DeKoninck, Karen Gallmeyer, Mary Gallmeyer, Shirley Hormann, or Sylvia Schuemann).

It's time for bids to be submitted for Parish Hall custodian, church custodian, and groundskeeper.   Bids are to be given to one of our Trustees (Dale Heckman, Sean Sielschott, Tom DeKoninck, or Calvin Buuck)  by December 1.   Job descriptions are available.   Any questions, please contact one of the Trustees.

It's also time to rent out the farm ground.  If you would like to submit a bid, please give it to a Trustee by December 1.  Thanks!

Our congregation's men's basketball season continues on Monday, November 20, at 6:00 p.m. at Monmouth.  Our team will face United Brethren.   The league offers competition plus Christian fellowship.   Friedheim's team always has room for interested players.

Christ the King Sunday is November 26.  This year we plan on reading the names of loved ones who have gone to the Kingdom of Heaven and ring the bell after each name is read.  Please contact Pastor Dahling or the church office today if you wish to have the name of a loved one or special person included in this listing.

The Morning Glories would like to thank all who worked at the booth, donated items, or helped transport items to and from the Hessen Cassel craft bazaar last weekend.  Sales totaled $706.80!  The Morning Glories are now taking a holiday break.  They will resume meeting on Tuesday morning, January 9.  However, they will be participating in the Wyneken craft show on Saturday, December 2.  If you would like to help or have items which you would like to donate for the show, please contact Marlene Conrad or Shirley Buuck.

A special thank you to you, Pastor Dahling, for your daily visits and prayers, and for the prayers, cards, and visits from friends, family, and all.  My warmest wishes to all of you.-----------Marlin Keidel

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran active in the German resistance movement as well as a theologian, pastor, author, and church leader.  The AAL has made this 90-minute film available to you.  There are three copies of this video in the back of church (south entrance way) for you to view at your convenience.  When you take home a copy of this film, please sign your name to the check out sheet and then cross your name off when you return it.  If you have questions, please contact Kathy Bultemeier or Shirley Hormann.
