The Sermon

Rev. Tom Park, Guest Preacher

The Acolyte Andrew Werling

We thank Rev. Tom Park for delivering this morning's sermon message.  We pray the Lord continued blessings upon his life.

We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- Janice K. Buuck, Scott Gehres, Barb Geyer, Heidi Knipstein, Matt Nidlinger, Katie Linnemeier, Amy DeKoninck, and Amanda Hunkins.   We also remember our 3rd grade teacher, Mickey Martin, as well as Deb Miller who teaches at Concordia grade school, in our prayers.  Today we also remember one of our Sunday School teachers, Lisa Lee.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We welcome to our Friedheim family, Randy and Trisha Hockemeyer, and their children, Ryan and Travis.  They have transferred their membership to us from Zion Lutheran Church, Woodburn. May the Lord bless them in their new church home.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives.  We especially remember Joyce Heckman who is undergoing tests this week.

We wish to thank Alicia Drier and Rachelle Buuck for sharing their gift of song with us this morning.  It enhances our worship service.

We remember in our prayers the family and friends of Henry Schuller (Velma Schuller's brother-in-law) who was called to his heavenly home on Thursday and was given Christian burial yesterday.  May the God of all comfort be with those who mourn and remind them of that great day when they will be reunited with their loved one in heaven.
