We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- Joy Erxleben,  Teri Conrad, Brittany Franke, Meghann Manley, Deb Miller, Vanessa Robinson, Tom Buuck, and Dick Miller.  In addition, we remember in our prayers our Wyneken cooks (Sharon Brenneke, Dawn Schieferstein, and Angie Werling) and our custodian (Kim Ehlerding) as well as Judy Baumann who teaches in the public school system.   May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We remember in our prayers our Wyneken principal, Jim Krupski.  He has received a call from Zion Lutheran School, New Palestine, Indiana.  Our seventh grade teacher, Marv Drier, has also received a call to Immanuel Lutheran School, Seymour, Indiana.  May the Lord guide them as they contemplates these calls.

We also remember in our prayers Jason Putteet and Laura McDonald   who were married on March 6.  Jason left for basic training at Ft. Lenordwood in Missouri on March 28.  May the Lord bless this couple as they begin their lives together and be with Jason as he begins his military service.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives.

Don't skip ahead to the last chapter!  Jesus' death on the cross is the crucial chapter that we must review every day.  Without Holy Week, your name can't be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.  With it, life is yours through faith.  Hear Dr. Dale Meyer's  message,  "The Crucial Chapter,"  on The Lutheran Hour.  The show airs on WOWO at 7:35 a.m. and  at 8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM, and at  3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on 1090 on Sunday.

Our midweek Lenten services continue with services at noon and 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday, April 12.  The theme for this week is "The Attitude of Opportunity."  At noon, the sermon, "Your King comes to you - a promise," is based upon Zechariah 9:9-10.  At 7:00 p.m. the sermon will be "In humility Christ came to earth to die" from Philippians 2:5-11.

Wondering why there were no children's bulletins last week and this morning?  We haven't received them from the publisher.   As soon as they arrive, you'll see them on Sunday mornings again.

Our Quarterly Voters' Meeting will be held this morning following the church service.  There are copies of the Annual Meeting minutes  in either entrance way of the church for you to review.

There will be Sunday School this morning; however, the Adult Bible Class will not be meeting this morning.  Class will resume next Sunday.

LYF Members:   Your help will be needed at the Easter breakfast.  Set up will be held on Saturday morning, April 22, at 9:00 a.m.  Each LYF member is asked to bring one dozen sweet rolls for the breakfast on Easter morning.  Please be at the Parish Hall at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 23.  If any parents wish to help, please let Corbin and Lisa Bultemeier know.  Thanks!

Are you missing a roaster?  There is an extra one in the Parish Hall kitchen (a Westinghouse which is white with some blue on it).  It needs to find its way home.  Thanks for your help!

One of our roasters seems to be misplaced.  If you know of its whereabouts, please see that its returned.   The sign which was placed in front of Bingen for the Soup & Sandwich Dinner seems to have disappeared.  If you know where it's at, please contact John or Nan Nidlinger or Don or Sara Bultemeier.  THANKS!

Dear Members of Friedheim,

Thank you for the Christian care and concern that was shown to us during Sam's illness and passing.  A special thanks to the Bereavement Committee for the luncheon served after the funeral and to Pastor Dahling for his many visits and support he has given us over the months.

The family of Sam Derrow
