remember in our prayers our Wyneken first/second split grade teacher, Becky
Klenke, and one of our public school teachers, Monica Stoppenhagen. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their
welcome Sam & Elaine Derrow as the newest members of Friedheim. Sam completed adult instruction on March 9 while Elaine comes
to us with a profession of faith. May

Wednesday, March 15. The theme
for this week is "The Attitude of Suffering."
At noon, the sermon text is based upon Genesis 28:10-17, "God
comforts Jacob while fleeing from Esau."
At 7 p.m. the sermon will be "Christians rejoice in their
suffering for Christ" from Romans 5:1-11.

at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until 1:00 p.m. at the Wyneken gym.
A free will offering will be accepted.
There will also be a craft and bake sale.
All profits from this year's dinner will go towards making the Parish
Hall handicap accessible.

LYF Members: The
youth will be serving drinks at the Soup & Sandwich today. The sophomores
and seniors will work the first shift (10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.) and the freshmen and juniors will work the second
shift (11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).
LYF will host a spaghetti supper prior to the March
22 midweek Lenten service. Serving
will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. A free will offering will be accepted. LYF members need to be at the Parish Hall no later than 5:00
p.m. on the 22nd. Each member
needs to bring one medium jar of spaghetti sauce.
Also each LYF member is asked to bring a pie except for the seniors who
should each bring a cake.
LYF will also be assisting residents of Lutheran Home to their worship service
Sunday, April 2.
The LYF will meet at the Parish Hall at 9:00 a.m. and then go to
Lutheran Homes. After that
worship service, the LYF will head to Pizza Hut for lunch and a short meeting.

project and a discussion concerning the north chimney.

the past seven months, all financial obligations have been current except for
our Wyneken payment. Each month
Wyneken has been receiving what is left to spare at the end of the month.
As you know, Wyneken's payments must be current as of June 30 (the end of
their fiscal year). This date is approaching quickly. Currently, payments are still being made on the loan taken
out last year to fulfill our commitment to Wyneken. The Church Council has voted to dedicate our Easter offering
to debt reduction, paying Wyneken in full first, with any extra going into the
Home Purpose fund. We are asking
for your extra donations and prayers to help us accomplish this goal.

JETS will be meeting at the home of Marvin and Shirley

green as this is St. Patrick's Day plus one!

AAL will have their regular monthly meeting following the worship service Sunday, March 26,
