We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- Rosa DeKoninck, Clayton Stoppenhagen, Tricia Bultemeyer, Kevin Buuck, Nathan Conrad, Alex Miller, Kylene Nidlinger, J. J. Everett, Jan Heimann, Joey Gorman, Gary Knipstein, and Ben Moeller. In addition, we remember in our prayers our Wyneken 3rd/4th grade split-class teacher, Ruth Armao, and one of our public school teachers, Cindy Des Jean.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives.  We especially remember in our prayers this morning    Clarence Bultemeier who  remains a patient at Parkview and Barb Geyer who  had been a patient at Adams County Memorial Hospital this past week.

We also remember our church as we celebrate our 162 anniversary this Friday, February 25.   Friedheim was established in 1838.  This congregation has been blessed and we pray that God will continue to bless this ministry and the individual members.

The flowers on the altar this morning are to the glory of God and in loving memory of Alfred Buuck.   They were placed in church by his family.

Contemporary society does not teach us how to grieve.  At the edge of the Promised Land, years of hopes about to be realized, Israel was plunged into mourning by the death of Moses.  Their bittersweet time can teach us how to grieve.  Hear Dr. Dale Meyer's message, "Camping at Mt. Nebo,"  on The Lutheran Hour.  The show airs on WOWO at 7:35 a.m. on Sunday morning and  at 8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM, and at  3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on 1090 on Sunday.

Pastor Dahling will be attending the rural ministry conference this Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26.  If you need pastoral assistance during his absence, please contact the parsonage and Mrs. Dahling will contact pastor.

Friedheim's men's basketball team has a game at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, at Bellmont Middle School.  Their opponent will be Church of God.

LWML Ladies:  Would you like to receive the LWML Quarterly this year?    The cost of the quarterlies are $4 per year.  We are asking the members who wish to receive this to cover the cost of their Quarterlies. If so, please contact Laurina Conrad, the LWML treasurer, by March 1 and give her the $4.  Thanks!

The Portals of Prayer (April - June) have arrived and are located in either entrance way of the church.

Don't forget to pick up your Annual Report.  The Report as well as the 2000 Church Directory are in the back pew.

It's time to start planning for our annual Soup & Sandwich Dinner.  The following items are still needed.  If you can donate any of the items listed below, please contact John or Nan Nidlinger at 724-9920 or Don or Sara Bultemeier at 547-4553 by Sunday, February 27.  Thanks!

All lost and found items are being placed on a table outside the school office.  After two weeks, any unclaimed items will be given to Goodwill.

Are you starting to plan that "spring break" trip?  Did you know American Airlines, the  Hyatt, Marriott, Courtyard, Residence, and Fairfield Inns are all part of the SCRIP program?  When making those travel plans, you may wish to look over the vendors involved in our SCRIP program and think of purchasing some of their certificates.  See Kris Blomenberg or Becky DeKoninck after the worship service this morning if you wish to purchase some SCRIP.
