 Announcements

We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- John Baumann, Cheryl Bultemeyer, Bernice Caston, Todd Gehres, Ruth Heckman, Shirley Hormann, Julie Heckman, and Zach Stoppenhagen. We also remember in our prayers our Wyneken cooks and custodian, Sharon Brenneke, Dawn Schieferstein, Angie Werling, and Kim Ehlerding. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives. We especially remember in our prayers this morning Ernie Mueller who is now a residence at Harborside Health Center in New Haven, Eugene Burger who has been readmitted to Parkview Hospital, Eric Bultemeier who will undergoing surgery at the IU Medical Center this week, and Andy Buuck who is undergoing radiation treatments.

The Dahling family invites you to their home for an "open house" next Sunday, December 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve program practice will continue today and next Sunday during the Sunday School hour in the church. Mrs. Bonnie Buuck's class will practice in church and then will go to the Parish Hall for the remainder of the Sunday School hour. Parents, please encourage your children to participate.

It's astounding what the carol "Silent Night" has done to bring the world together in peace. Dare we mute its strains of Christ and peace in the new millennium? Hear Dr. Meyer's message, "The World at Peace," on The Lutheran Hour. The show airs on WOWO at 7:35 a.m. (8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM) on Sunday.

Lutheran Hour Ministries sponsors the "Woman to Woman" program. It can be heard on WLAB (88.3 FM) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday or on WLYV (1450 AM) at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Next week's program will be the Christmas special.

Make plans to attend our mid-week worship services on Wednesday, Dec. 15. The sermon meditation at noon and at 7:30 p.m. will be "On the Road to Bethlehem."

Friedheim's men's basketball team will be playing Pleasant Dale on Monday, December 13, at 9:30 p.m. at Bellmont Middle School.
