The Lord's Supper: "In this Sacrament, the Forgiveness of Sins is not only preached, proclaimed, and promised, but here same time Christ gives, His Christians, His Very Body and Blood, as a pledge of it" (Walther). As we receive this gift, we ask any guests desiring to commune to speak with the Pastor before the service. Because of the Bible's witness to doctrinal oneness by those receiving the Sacrament together, the churches of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod promise to practice closed communion.

We remember our members celebrating birthdays this week -- Sherril Bradtmueller, Clarence Bultemeier, Paul Drier, Daniel Schuller, Gabrielle Cale, Kathy Bultemeier, Kenneth Fuhrmann, Valerie Harants and Kellie Erxleben. We also remember, in our prayers, our first grade teacher, Donna Schieferstein. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

May the Great Physician grant health and strength to all who are in need of His presence in their lives. We especially remember, in our prayers this morning, Eugene Burger, Anne Hess' father, who is at Parkview Hospital, and also Stacey Stoppenhagen, niece of Rosie Bultemeier and Jim Bultemeyer, who is recuperating from surgery.

We remember in our prayers, the families of Rosie Bultemeier and Jim Bultemeyer, whose sister, Kay Stoppenhagen, was called into glory, this past week. May the God of all comfort be with those who grieve.

Nomination letters have been sent out; if you do not wish to serve, please contact Pastor Dahling or Dennis Werling, Today.

December Newsletter Items are due in the office by Wednesday, November 24.

St. Paul urges us to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ," similar to putting on a life preserver as a boat is sinking. Dr. Wallace Schultz urges listeners to prepare for Jesus Christ, as He arrives in His second coming; using the text Romans 13:11-14. Hear Dr. Schulz's message, "Wake Up!" on the Lutheran Hour. The show airs on WOWO at 7:35 a.m. (8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM) on Sunday.

Lutheran Hour Ministries sponsors the "Woman to Woman" program. It can be heard on WLAB (88.3 FM) at 10:00a.m. on Saturday or on WLYV (1450 AM) at 11:00a.m. on Sunday. Listen to next week's program, "Controlling Your Anger". Anger is a normal and strong emotion. Misused, anger can be dangerous to the person and others around. Learn how to channel anger into a positive direction, making it a gift instead of a curse.
