Announcements

We remember those members who are celebrating birthdays this week -- Nicholas Linnemeier, Abagail Bultemeier, Hildegard Kiefer, Dale Heckman, Monica Manley, Linda Buuck, Carma Conrad, Dave Conrad, Rich Hartmann, Andrea Jackson, Bill Fuhrman, Dave Houser, Irene Kiess, Dennis Scheumann, Cindy Houser, Jason Scheumann, Josh Scheumann, Erv Schuller, Madison Stoppenhagen, and DeWayne Gallmeyer. We also remember our Board of Education, especially Friedheim's members, Jim Heckman, Kim Schamerloh, and Stan Stoppenhagen, as registration begins this week. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We remember in our prayers this morning Dick Hileman who is home following surgery, Georgianna Alvarez (Addy Schuller's sister) who is in an Ohio hospital recovering from burns, Alan Bergdall (great-grandson of Olga Reifsteck) who is a patient at Parkview, and Andy Buuck and Ernie Muller who continue under doctors' care. May the Great Physician grant health and strength to them and all who are in need of His presence in their lives.

Bible Class will meet in the church basement after today's worship service.

The Bible records several times when Jesus let His wrath be seen. These incidents teach how Jesus wants us to live our lives. Hear Dr. Dale Meyer's Lutheran Hour message, "Seeing the Savior Sore," on The Lutheran Hour. The show airs on WOWO at 7:35 a.m. (8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM) on Sunday.

Lutheran Hour Ministries sponsors the "Woman to Woman" program. It can be heard on WLAB (88.3 FM) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday or 11:00 a.m. on WLYV (1450 AM) on Sunday. Listen to next week's program, "Women Who Love Sex Addicts."

Produce of all kinds are needed for our produce market. We are open through the week as well as on weekends. Bring your produce to the "Cornfusion" sight. Place it in the cooler wagon or on the tables. Call Teri Conrad (724-8464) if you have any questions.

The "Cornfusion" food committee would welcome any contributions of the following now and throughout the summer and fall.

Hot dogs Buns (hot dog and hamburger)
Hamburger Cash

You may contact any committee member -- Tami Stoppenhagen (728-9101), Kris Blomenberg (547-4673), Evie Fuhrman (639-3158), Dorothy Heckman (547-4497), Janice Buuck (432-9039) & Joy Erxleben (547-4139); they would also be willing to pick up your donation. Thanks in advance for your help.

LYF MEMBERS!! There will be a short meeting in the back of church following the worship service this morning. Topic: working at Cornfusion.

A sign-up sheet for the Glenbrook Bazaar is located in the south entrance way. The bazaar will be on Friday and Saturday, September 10 and 11, with set up on Thursday night, September 9. Your help will be needed to make this a successful sale this year. (The bazaar dates coincide with a wedding, the SDR workshop, and "Cornfusion" as well as other conflicts.) Please check your calendars and see if you can fit this activity in your schedules. Profits from the sale will go towards the new church roof. (AAL is again using this as a "Helping Hands" project.)

ATTENDANCE: Sunday Worship Service - 246; Monday Night Bible Class - 11.
