A Confirmation Prayer

May God show you favor and smile on you, I pray, and bless your confirmation, on this, your special day. May you never waiver, where the scriptures are concerned, and always keep within your heart these lessons you have learned. Take all your problems to the Lord and in Him confide and in trials and temptation, may He always he your guide. As you mature in Christ, may you grow strong in every way and continue the life you've started on this your confirmation day.

Ramona K. Cecil

We remember those members who are celebrating birthdays this week -- Jenny Schamerloh, Don Erxleben, Hilda Bauermeister, Perry Caston, Tim Blomenberg, Kayla Johnson, Jeni Harkless, Gilbert Hartmann, Allison Hormann, Wayne Erxleben, and Anna Buuck. We also remember our Wyneken principal, Jim Krupski, in our prayers. May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives

May the Great Physician be with all of those who are recovering from accidents, illness, and other medical conditions.

The flowers on the altar are to the glory of God and in honor of the six young men who will be confirmed today. May the Lord continue to bless Adam, Dan, Joey, Kevin, Craig, and Zach. We also thank the boys as they selected the sermon text as well as the hymns being sung this morning.

We pray God's blessings upon Kim Eichhorn and Scott Gehres, who were united in marriage at our altar yesterday evening. May Christ be the center of their home as they begin their lives together.

We welcome David Dierks to Friedheim: He has transferred to us from Peace Lutheran Church in Shelby Township, Michigan. May the Lord bless him in his new church home.
