Zion-Friedheim Evangelical Lutheran Church

We are happy that you joined us this morning in our celebration of the glorious resurrection of our Lord.  It is always best to share joy with other people.  We invite you to return often and share in our celebration in the new life of this Easter season.  If you arc communing with us this morning, please fill out a communion registration card.  These cards may be found in either entranceway of the church.  Please place the cards in the offering plate or give them to one of the Deacons.  Thank you.

We remember those members who are celebrating birthdays this week -Ben Miller, Rich Scheumann, Nick George, Lean Heckmann and Joy Erxleben.  We also remember our Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten teacher Rea Fuhrmann in our prayers.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We remember in our prayers our seminarian, Ernie Muller, who remains a patient at Parkview Hospital as he continues radiation/chemotherapy treatments.  We also remember Rosa Hartmann who has been at Adams County Memorial Hospital as well as Andy Buuck is undergoing testing and consultation with medical specialists.  The prophet Isaiah reminds us that by the Savior’s strips we are healed.  According, the gracious will of the Savior may these and the Savior’s mercy and care enshroud any other that we remember this day.

Once again we have been given the privilege of sharing with you another Holy Week and Easter.  The Loaf has truly blessed us in many significant and incredible ways.  We are Easter people.  May we continue to experience the Lord's presence in our lives.  Yours in Christ, Pr. Dahling and family.

We wish to thank the members or the LYF and their families for their service in providing this morning's Easter breakfast.  Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

We remember in our prayers our seventh grade teacher Marvin Drier who has received a Call from Trinity Lutheran School in St. Joseph, Michigan.  May the Lord of the Church direct him as he deliberates the Lord's direction in his ministry.

Tune in to The Lutheran Hour next Sunday.  The program is broadcast at 7:35 a.m. on WOWO radio 1190 AM and at 8:05 a.m. on WZBD 92.7 FM.

Dahling and his family will be out of town Wednesday and Thursday evening and will return Friday afternoon.  In the event of any pastoral assistance Pr. Ledic of Immanuel, Union Township can be contacted.

The LWML Spring Praise Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 9 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Berne, IN.  The service, “Let Freedom Ring,” will include the Handbell choir from St. John’s Bingen.  A continental brunch will follow the service and a freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses.  Children are welcome.

Youth ushers for April will be Aaron Conrad and Matt DeKonnick.

There will be NO Sunday School or Bible Class today or next week because of Easter services and the Benefit for Seminarian Ernie Muller.

The Quarterly Voters' meeting will be hold after service on Sunday, April 18.  Reports from boards and committees will be heard.  Two items of business will be discussed the use of both Individual Cup and Common Cup for distribution at the Lord's Supper and the possible use of the Parish Hall for Wyneken's Pre-Kindergarten program next school year.
