A Confirmation Prayer

We remember those members who are celebrating birthdays this week -- Wava Lichtle, Chris Lichtle, Tyler Stoppenhagen, Esther Gallmeyer, Jo Buuck, Mark Conrad, Todd Lee, Adam Sielschott, and Brett Conrad.  We also remember our 5th grade teacher, Richard Shwantz, in our prayers.  May the Lord continue to guide, direct, and bless their lives.

We remember in our prayers Gerhard Kiefer, Dick Hileman, and Al Hormann who have returned home after hospital stays.  We also remember in our prayers our seminarian, Ernie Muller, who is undergoing tests at Parkview Hospital.  May the Great Physician be with them and all others in need.

Tune in to The Lutheran Hour next Sunday.  The program is broadcast at 7:35 a.m. on WOWO and at 8:05 a.m. on 92.7 FM.  Lutheran Hour Ministries sponsors the “Woman to Woman” program.  It can be heard on WLAB (88.3 FM) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday or 11:00 a.m. on WLYV (1450 AM) on Sunday.

The Sunday School children are again bringing their offering for the Vision 2000 campaign.  We thank them for their contribution.

ALTAR Guild MEMBERS: The meeting has been changed from Tuesday, February 9, to Monday, February 8, due to a conflict with Lutheran Bible Institute.  The meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m.  Please make this change on your calendar.

LYF Members: There will be a short meeting following the worship service this morning.  Plans need to be finalized for the ski trip this Saturday, February 13.  If you're bringing a friend along, that person needs to pay prior to leaving for the trip.  The money should be given to either Sara Des Jean or Julie Heckman.  Chaperones and vans are also needed.  Parents, if you are willing to drive and/or chaperone, please contact Pastor or Corbin or Lisa Bultemeier today.

If you haven’t picked up your Annual Report and 1999 Membership Directory, please do so this morning.

LWML MEMBERS: Since the winter meeting was cancelled due to inclement weather, our LWML contributions are low.  As a result the state and international contributions are also running low.  Any contribution would be appreciated.  Thanks -- Your LWML Officers

Words cannot express my heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Dahling for all his faithful visits to me during my illness.  Also a warm thank you to all of you for your prayers, letters, and cards.  God is the Great Physician, and to Him we owe all our praise.  Thanks again for all your uplifting words during a time when Jesus truly had to carry me.
